What kind of experience do Aunt Ann’s In-House Staffing candidates have?
Since 1958, we have been successfully placing experienced candidates. Many candidates have a long term relationship with us. Each time their job comes to an end they return to us for a new position. Over the years we have placed as many as 3 generations of the same family.

Candidates are required to have verifiable previous work experience in a home or similar industry. For many years, candidates interested in working in a home could only learn the trade by on the job training. In the past 10 years, schools have opened that now train nannies, household managers and butlers, Candidates will also have transferable experience and training from fields such as education, hospitality and health care.

As the employer, your job description will determine the type of experience and background a candidate needs to meet your requirements. Based on your information we will execute a search to match your requirements.

Candidates that are not authorized to work in the United States are not eligible for placement through Aunt Ann’s In-House Staffing.

How does Aunt Ann’s In-House Staffing screen candidates?
Aunt Ann’s In-House Staffing requires all candidates to complete a rigorous pre-screening, personal interview, reference verification and independent background check process. Initially, candidates are pre-screened for work eligibility in the United States, work history, skill assessment, communication skills, and attitude and job preference.

Each candidate completes a 10 to 20 page application which provides us with their personal and work history, work style, education and work preferences.

Upon completion of the interview, the candidate’s references are checked by phone. You will be provided with detailed reference summaries for review.

Additional background checks are performed by an independent firm. As there are fees involved for these background checks, they are conducted after a job offer has been made and accepted. Additional background checks include credit checks, civil and criminal court record checks, driving record check and social security verification. In California, the Trustline register is also a requirement.

How do I know if the person I hire is the right person for the job?
The “Working Trial Interview” gives you the opportunity to confirm your decision.

When you list your job opening with us, your consultant will spend time formulating a job description, the required personality profile to complement the household, preferred experience, and other details. We will identify and present appropriate candidates for your consideration.

After many years of placement, we have found that the execution of the working trial has been the best indicator of success for both employer and employee. As part of the pre-employment conditions, candidates who are considered “ideal” for the job are offered the job based on successful completion of a working trial. The following is the guidelines for the Trial Working Interview.

Working Trial Interview: The employer/client/ clients representative must agree to pay a previously agreed upon salary to any candidate who accepts an offer of employment and agrees to work for the employer the suggested 2 to 5-day working trial. The employer/client/clients representative is required to pay a previously agreed upon salary for the time a candidate works during their trial working interview.

Aunt Ann’s In-House Staffing will waive our referral fee for a period up to 5 days. Any time worked by the candidate after the 5 day trial period will be billed according to Aunt Ann’s In-House Staffing referral fee schedule. All candidates are to be paid a previously agreed upon salary at the conclusion of their working trial.
