Celebrating 60 Years of Serving Families
Our Family Serving your Family Since 1958.

Ready to apply for a new job? A detailed, organized, and up-to-date resume is your first step to success. Our clients like to see resumes that give a clear picture of your work history. Resumes do not need to be limited to one page in the childcare industry. The more details, the better!

Whether you don’t have a resume or need to update your current resume since your last role, here’s what to include in when applying with our agency.

1. Contact Information

The top of your resume is the best place to include a photo, your name and city that you live in. You can include your email and phone as well. We will keep this information private when we share your profile with clients.

2. Employment History

Outline the families you’ve worked with their last name (if it is a NDA family, you can write “Private Family” instead of a last name or just the initial of the last name). Be sure to list the month and year that each position started and ended as well as your job title.

3. Children’s Ages

Include the ages of the children you cared for during each position. It is helpful to list the age of the child at the start of your employment.

4. Role Details

Specify whether the position was full-time, part-time, or on-call. Include a bullet point list of your responsibilities for each role. Be detailed! The more information you share, the more we learn about the depth of your experience.

5. Certifications

Whether you’ve completed your NCS certificate or just updated CPR, list it!

6. Education

Our clients do not need to see high school listed, but anything after high school would be relevant to include.

Taking the time to organize this information will help us showcase your experience and match you with the right opportunities.

Always be sure to proofread before submitting your resume. The first step after we receive your application and resume will be a screening call. It is helpful for our recruiter to have the most up-to-date and correct information when speaking with you so she can help you get started in the process of finding your dream job!
